Hi everyone,
I just wanted to give everyone a huge Thankyou for all the people who have supported me on this journey! And a special Thank-you to my mum who organized everything for the gig, my Aunty for all her publicity help and Stuart Mckenzie my guitar accomplist who has helped me through all my insecurities and with all the music and tech stuff for the night! I would not have been able to succeed without you! Words can not express how much I appreciate and love you all! We made a huge profit from the night's success -passing our goal of $3,500 and made $3,700 on the night! So Thank-you all who came along and all those who supported me! Your effort and generosity does not go unappreciated! Xoxoxoxxo :)

Hi everyone,
Hi everyone,
In June, just after turning 18, I auditioned in Ballarat for the Australian Institute of Performing Arts team (based in Sydney). They held auditions in a number of Australian states and chose 56 kids from the ages of 12 to 20 years of age, from around Australia to tour New York and La performing Glee-like shows to the public. It's an amazing oppertunity for me as i wish to create a career from the performing arts. I will be flying out at the end of November for three weeks.
I auditioned in June, the song "I wanna hold your hand" by the Beatles and found out the next day that I was accepted, even though they said it would take them a week at least to get back to me. They wern't at all impressed with my dancing and said I would need to practise a lot before we went but they couldnt get past my voice. :)
I've always enjoyed singing when i was younger and loved it still as i ventured into my teen years. My friend Brent told me that he had been seeing a vocal coach and told me how much he had helped Brent and gave me the number to see if it was something i wanted to try. I began singing with my vocal teacher Steven Zammit, almost two years ago now and still am extremely passionate about the art.
I am now fundraising to try to get to America and perform with 55 talented individuals. Needless to say, the cost of the flight alone is significant, let alone the various food and accomodation costs. I'm holding a benefit gig and will be performing a list of about 22 songs at the Central Club Hotel in Richmond on the corner of Swan and Coppin street, this Saturday on the 15th of October. There is a $10 cover charge and there will be a silent auction on the night. There are many fabulous items available thanks to genrous donations from the public including; a signed cricket bat and cap by Australian cricket player Mike Hussey, some theatre tickets, a few beautiful glass blown vases and much, much more! So please feel free to come along, bring your friends and family, have a drink and enjoy some good company and music! (Although alcohol will be able to be bought at the venue, those who are under 18 are still very welcome!)
I hope to see you there! :)
